FINDLAW LAUNCHES CONSTITUTIONAL LAW CENTER
New Resource Makes Constitutional Law Truly Accessible Online
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- August 30, 1999 -- FindLaw, Inc., the leading Web portal devoted to law and government, today launched the FindLaw Constitutional Law Center ( http://supreme.findlaw.com), an educational resource site focusing on the United States Constitution and its impact on society.
Designed with students and the general public in mind, the FindLawConstitutional Law Center features an easy-to-read guide that makesconstitutional law truly accessible online. The Center's collectionsinclude historic documents, such as the Articles of Confederation, theFederalist Papers and an annotated edition of the Constitution; biographies of Supreme Court justices and founding fathers; landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases as well as a searchable database of decisions back to 1893; a history of the Constitution; and reviews of the hottest topics in constitutional law, including a summary and analysis of criminal law and procedure decisions of the 1998-99 Supreme Court Term by Solomon L. Wisenberg of Ross, Dixon & Bell, L.L.P. and formerly of the Office of Independent Counsel in the Whitewater Investigation.
The FindLaw Constitutional Law Center also hosts a Town Hall, where people can voice their views on the community message boards and vote onconstitutional issues in opinion polls. Moreover, visitors can keep abreast of Supreme Court happenings by joining the mailing list for free e-mail summaries of new Supreme Court decisions as they are issued.
