FINDLAW PARTNERS WITH EXCITE@HOME'S WORK.COM
FindLaw to Provide Work.com users with Legal Information and Resources
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (March 23, 2000) - FindLaw (http://www.findlaw.com), the most highly trafficked Web portal focused on law and government, today announced an agreement with Excite@Home. The company will provide legal information and resources to users of Excite@Home's business portal, Work.com (www.work.com).
Visitors to Work.com will find essential legal information and resources on business topics ranging from incorporating to intellectual property and from employment law to commercial contracts. A special section will provide users with in-depth information on creating their own technology startup, with a focus on pertinent topics including funding, building a board of directors and marketing.
"Teaming with FindLaw will help Work.com achieve its goal of providing the most in-depth business information and resources," said David Williams, general manager, Work.com. "We are pleased to incorporate FindLaw's extensive library of legal resources."

FindLaw will also provide access to a section designed to help businesses understand the legal system and resolve disputes with lawyers. It includes contact information for federal, state, and local courts, along with information about arbitration and mediation -- two alternate ways to resolve legal problems. Work.com users will also find information on the costs of legal services and tools to help them evaluate whether or not a lawyer is needed to resolve a legal issue.
Excite@Home and Dow Jones recently announced an agreement to form a new company, Work.com that will build on the existing business portal. The new company will leverage the will leverage the portal experience of Excite and the premier business content of Dow Jones, building on the initial success of the existing Work.com portal and Dow Jones' dowjones.com.
Work.com is Excite@Home's online business service that was launched in September of 1999 to meet the growing needs of business professionals and their companies. It functions as a comprehensive business portal featuring vertical industry content, communities, business applications and services customizable to business users' needs.
