FINDLAW UNVEILS REDESIGNED SMALL BUSINESS CENTER

Business to Business Feature Gives Users Free Access to the Essential Tools to Start, Fund and Run a Small Business

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (April 10, 2000) -- FindLaw, the most highly trafficked legal Web site, today unveiled a new Small Business Center (http://smallbiz.findlaw.com/) to provide the legal and business tools professionals need to successfully run a small business. Information and resources are available on subjects including business formation, finance, employment, operations and law. The Small Business Center is free to FindLaw visitors and provides guidance on numerous topics ranging from writing a business plan to ensuring workplace safety to purchasing insurance.

Each subject and its subtopics are supported by links to related articles and books, forms and other useful Web sites. For example, a user who clicks on the topic of accounting will find helpful articles like 'Accounting Doesn't Have to be Mind-Numbing,' forms such as Daily Cash Sheets and Income Statements, and links to websites offering accounting tutorials, guides to CPA firms and information on the latest accounting technologies.

"With the economy as strong as it is, more people are starting their own business," said Tim Stanley, FindLaw co-founder and chief technology officer. "Most of them don't have the resources to hire legal or business consultants right away and don't know where to go to find the right information. As the leading legal Web site, FindLaw's aim is to arm small businesses and law firms with all the information and resources they need to make their company thrive."

FindLaw, Inc. (http://www.findlaw.com), the leading Web portal focused on law and government, is dedicated to making legal information on the Internet freely available and easy to find.
