FINDLAW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEADER, GREEDY ASSOCIATES FOUNDER,NAMED ONE OF THE 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL LAWYERS
Schwartz, 28, founded the Greedy Associates Boards located on FindLaw's Infirmation.com (http://infirmation.com/). The NLJ credits him for "goosing the great associate raise of 2000 . . . and building a community." The Greedy Associates message boards are made up of more than 25 separate lawyer message forums dedicated to geographical location, practice area and various topics such as fashion, travel and children. The boards receive up to 1.5 million page views per week. In addition to the Greedy Associates message boards, FindLaw's Infirmation site offers resources such as the Insiders Guide to Law Firms, the Internet's most comprehensive database of compensation-related information for legal professionals, and job listings for attorneys both in and out of the practice of law.
"The Greedy Associates Boards have created the first community where lawyers from every corner of the country and in any practice area can meet to exchange information, advice and opinions in a confidential environment," said Schwartz. "I'm thrilled that The National Law Journal chose to recognize both the tremendous impact that the boards have had on the legal community, and my contribution to their success. This an honor not only for myself, but for the number of people instrumental in building and contributing to the Greedy Associates Boards."
Before joining FindLaw's business development team, Schwartz worked at New York's Thacher, Proffit & Wood. He received his B.A. from the University of Albany and his J.D., cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
