Access to West Legal Directory Integrated Into Software Packages
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 6, 2003 FindLaw, the most-visited legal Web site, today announced that Block Financial Corporation has chosen FindLaw's lawyer directory as the exclusive lawyer directory in the popular Kiplinger's Home & Business Attorney (v. 6.0) and Kiplinger's WILLPower (v. 3.0) software packages, both from Block Financial.
FindLaw is a Thomson (TSX:TOC; NYSE:TOC) business, and it's the online home of West Legal Directory®, the largest online legal directory. West Legal Directory (http://lawyers.findlaw.com/) features more than one million lawyers and legal professionals, searchable by lawyer name, firm name, practice area and location. It includes detailed profiles of listed attorneys, highlighting their experience, credentials and contact information.
Kiplinger's Home & Business Attorney allows people to create legal documents for many types of personal and business legal matters, including family law, employment law, finance and real estate. Kiplinger's WILLPower allows people to create wills, living trusts and other estate planning documents.
Both software packages offer several easy-to-use methods for users to access West Legal Directory. These options include a "FindLaw Lawyer Directory" desktop shortcut and a "Find a Lawyer at FindLaw" option in the "Help" menu.
"We are pleased that Block Financial selected FindLaw to provide the online lawyer directory service for Kiplinger's Home & Business Attorney and Kiplinger's WILLPower," said Stacy Stern, FindLaw vice president. "The West Legal Directory features in Kiplinger's Home & Business Attorney and Kiplinger's WILLPower enable users of these packages to quickly and easily find a local attorney to review the legal documents they produce with the software or to assist them with other legal needs."
