FindLaw to Provide Online Legal Directory and Legal Content to Internet Broadcasting Systems' Local News Web Sites
FindLaw Will Power "Legal Centers" in More Than 60 Top Local Markets
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and NEW YORK, N.Y., January 22, 2004 -- Millions of consumers and business professionals will have free access to comprehensive, authoritative legal information and help in finding a lawyer through the largest online legal directory, thanks to an exclusive agreement between FindLaw, a Thomson business (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), and Internet Broadcasting Systems (IBS), the Web's leading local news provider.
FindLaw, the leading provider of services that enable consumers and business professionals to evaluate and connect with qualified legal counsel and home to the Internet's most visited legal information Web portal, will be IBS' exclusive national partner for legal content and resources. FindLaw will power a "Legal Center," providing millions of daily visitors to IBS' network of Web sites with authoritative legal information that will help consumers and businesses research and manage legal issues, including personal injury, bankruptcy law, family law, criminal law and more.
